1967 Ducati DM350SCR Factory Prototype
$3,800.00
US
During 1967, extensive testing had been taking place for the next-generation of singles Ð later known as the wide-case variants. The very first wide-case prototypes were Scramblers, built from the then new wide-case engine and rolling chassis, though featuring the 1966 style bodywork with black/silver colour scheme.

A limited number of these pre-production prototypes were sold. This is one of those machines, and a very rare bike today. Its historical significance derives from the fact that descendants of this machine undoubtedly gave the Ducati singles a new lease on life. (Ref page 70, "Ducati Singles" Ð Mick Walker Ð 1997)

This machine is fitted with a period Dellorto SS1 29D carburettor. Frame and body were repainted to original by MartyÕs. Instruments restored by KTT. Wheels restored by Spoke Wheel Repairs. New tyres, battery, chain, sprockets, steering head bearings, wiring, new original pipe and header, grips, bars, pegs. Period alloy Marzocchi shocks rebuilt by Gowanloch. Original factory-seal is still on the crankcase. Over A$9,000 spent on restoration, 0kms since. Eligible for club rego. Eng# DM35005129. Restoration pics available upon request.
